As part of the development of the Phu Quoc Green Transformation Plan, experts from VinUni Smart Green Transformation Center (GREEN-X) conducted a field survey at several key infrastructure sites and strategic locations across Phu Quoc Special Zone.

The survey focused on sites that play an important role in local environmental management and sustainable development, including the Duong Dong Centralized Wastewater Treatment Plant, Phu Quoc National Park, and an on-site solid waste treatment facility. At the Duong Dong Centralized Wastewater Treatment Plant, the GREEN-X delegation met with the Phu Quoc Economic Board and representatives of the project investor from Amacao Group. The meeting provided an opportunity for the parties to discuss the current infrastructure status, local needs, and upcoming survey and implementation plans.
By directly assessing operational conditions, environmental contexts, and local demands, the field survey provides an important practical foundation for the development of the Phu Quoc Green Transformation Plan. The findings will also help inform the design of green transformation technology solutions that are tailored to local conditions and feasible for real-world implementation.

The field survey marks an important step in ensuring that the proposed solutions under the Phu Quoc Green Transformation Plan are grounded in practical evidence, aligned with local needs, and directed toward improving environmental management effectiveness. Through this activity, GREEN-X continues to accompany Phu Quoc in advancing green transformation, promoting sustainable development, and co-developing practical solutions for the future of the Pearl Island.
