GREEN-X Expands Collaboration with SUTD on Green Transformation and Sustainable Urban Development

April 24, 2026

VinUni Smart Green Transformation Center (GREEN-X) continues to expand its international collaboration network through a visit and working session at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

As part of the visit, Assoc. Prof. Thuc-Anh Thi Phan, Executive Director of GREEN-X, met with SUTD’s Chief of Sustainability and researchers from the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities. The working session provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange expertise and discuss potential collaboration in research and innovation, with the shared goal of advancing green transformation and sustainable development.

The discussions focused on several strategic topics, including the application of Digital Twin technology in urban planning to support net-zero goals, as well as the role of businesses in shaping and implementing comprehensive green policies.

A key highlight of the session was the shared interest in interdisciplinary solutions that combine research, smart technologies, and practical implementation. This approach is particularly relevant as cities face growing challenges related to emissions, resource use, infrastructure planning, and resilience to climate change.

Both sides also expressed strong interest in further promoting joint research initiatives, strengthening academic exchange, and building a long-term partnership in green transformation, smart cities, and sustainable development.

The visit to SUTD marks an important step in GREEN-X’s efforts to connect with leading international partners, jointly developing innovative, practical, and impactful solutions for a greener and more sustainable future.
